This tool is excellent for carving out the back of rubber or vinyl base when tightly wrapping corners. It comes with a double-tipped blade; the V-tip creates a sharp V-shaped groove that conforms better to tightly formed sheetrock corners, while the U-tip creates a wider U-shaped groove for fuller corners or tougher bases that require a wider groove. The depth gauge can be adjusted using a simple set screw.
