Crain 973 Rolling Hand Groover

The Crain 973 Rolling Hand Groover is a manual seam-grooving tool for professional flooring contractors preparing seams for heat welding. It features adjustable blade depth, guide wheels that track along the seam, and two included No. 974 4 mm blades.

Use the front blade to start grooving in the middle of a seam, then use the rear blade when approaching a wall. The clip-on foot plate allows curved and circular grooves without disassembling the rear wheel.

Cuttings are directed out beneath the handle, and the handle pivots open for cleaning and maintenance. All adjustments are made with the included 1/8" hex key, which stores on the tool.

The groover accepts standard blades, with additional replacement blades available separately: No. 974 4 mm, No. 975 3.5 mm, and No. 976 2.5 mm. A protective storage bag is included.
